  1. Greetings Everyone. I recently met up with another FMCA member when dropping our coach off at the shop. (Seems like we do that a lot). We had a long talk and he shared that the best investment we can make in our coach is a tire pressure monitoring system. I've checked into them and they run $700 or more. Does anyone have a suggestion for a reliable system that is not quite so expensive? I'd even be interested in looking at a used unit as long as it works properly. Thank you in advance for all of your advice.
  2. We just went through this same issue. Although our dealer where we purchased the coach told us that the generator won't not run both a/c's. Well, I researched it and figured out that was nonsense. I took our coach to another service center and explained the problem. While on the generator we could turn the front A/C on and run it with no issue. When we turned on the back A/C it would immediately kill the front a/c. What we found out was that the back a/c is bad. That's why it wouldn't run both. This was after we spent several hundred dollars having the generator checked out. But at least now we know. Thank goodness for the warranty.
  3. Greetings everyone. My Partner and I just purchased a 40' diesel pusher for our business. We are consultants that work all over the country. We purchased a 40' Safari Zanibar. We have a Blue Ox tow bar system and purchased a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 to tow behind it. I have had several people tell me that I do not need a supplemental because of the size of the coach, engine etc. We do have air brakes on the bus. Since we aren't using the coach for pleasure but for work (we have to be onsite for the last three weeks of each project), we are trying to keep our costs down as much as possible. If I need one I'll get one, but wanted to know how important it is. Any feedback or information would be greatly appreciated!
  4. We recently purchased a 40' diesel pusher for our work/business. So we are learning too. My Partner is not a big vehicle driver at all. First thing I would share with you is.... RELAX! Go slow, take your time. Don't worry about slowing traffic a little bit. Use your mirrors and your back up camera. Have someone drive your coach to a large parking lot. Take a couple of hours and just get familiar with how it handles how it turns how it stops and so on. Once your comfortable, then take it on the road a little bit. Around the block of the parking lot you are practicing in for example. As for the systems, (Fortunately for me), they all seem to be pretty intuitive. In most cases if you do something wrong the coach will tell you. And as some of the other posts stated, read your manuals. Ask questions. No shame in not knowing. If you have the nerve to ask for help you have the capacity to learn. Safe travels.
  5. Forgive me, I'm new to the MH world. We just purchased a 40' Safari Zanzibar diesel pusher, 300 CAT. We bought it for business/work. Where is this PDI and how do we contact them. I tried to Google them but didn't find anything.
