  1. Last year, my previous insurance company wanted to raise my rate $1,000....so I changed companies.  Now my new company wants to raise my rate 20%.  The RV has decreased in value, no accidents, no tickets, no claims....anybody else noticing the same thing?

....I am truly befuddled and confused with all of the closings, cancellations, shelter in place rules, etc.  What am I missing?...

Look no farther than the main stream media.  Even our local media, they rant and rave, give partial and half truths all aiming at a political objective which will go unmentioned here.

Ok,here is a question from the Aquahot rookie. Does it hurt to leave it on electric when it is plugged in? And how often do you run it on diesel? I topped up the tank today so everything is looking good.

In the CG we turn the electric on and leave it.  As long as it's not too cold it will provide hot water and furnace heat.  If cold, turn on the diesel burner, it will cycle on and off just like home.  Just remember if you have a 400 series, and the diesel is running and providing coach heat, if you turn on the hot water, the furnace shuts off until the demand for hot water stops.  If you have a 600 AH, it keeps running no matter what you turn on.  According to the manual, the AH uses .4 GPH.

  4. One more comment on a coolant filter.  I called Freightliner prior to having my coolant changed.  They said no coolant filter, they don't use them.  Much to my surprise, when we were draining the coolant, we found a coolant filter that was virtually totally plugged with crud, sludge and similar 'stuff.'  So what happened was that DD put the filter on at the factory and Freightliner did not know it.

...I leave my inverter on when hooked up to the 50 amp shore power, it charges the start batteries....

Is that what your new Newmar does?  On my Eagle the inverter on or off has nothing to do with battery charging.  Once the house batteries get to 13.3, the charge will go  through to the chassis batteries.

Thanks Herman. Yes $40 doesn’t seem out of line at all. Loves tires shop needs me to supply the longer valve stems so I am trying to find a source to buy them from. I may have to consider another truck tire location but I need to stop at Loves to fuel up and spend the night in the parking lot so it would be very convenient for me to have them do it.

Yes, Loves is very convenient and also off the scale expensive.  Any auto parts store will have what you need at a much lower cost.

    .

A 2011 coach could have tires manufactured in 2010, if so, those tires are coming up on 10 years old.  The only place I'd drive that coach is to a shop to get all new tires.  The other tire information is irrelevant...low mileage, covered, no cracks, what they sit on, new ones are expensive, etc.  The OP is living on borrowed time with those tires, they are too old to be safe.  All MHO, of course.

  8. Last summer, I put Continental 315s on the front with the FMCA program, and Toyo 295s on the rear without the FMCA program.  The retail price for the Toyos was cheaper than the Michelins with the FMCA program....plus I got a discount for them.
