I had an 09 Allegiance, it was under the steps. On this coach it's in the first bay, street side.

When we got hear Monday the event was so bad it blew several awnings off. Saw one where 3 people were trying to hold the awning down so they could bring it in. It lifted them off their feet. It finally got loose and ripped off over the coach. The wind sensor doesn't always react fast enough to save the awning from damage.

We stayed eight days at Granby during and after the American Coach rally in June. Yes, the wind blows hard virtually every afternoon....sometimes out of the east, sometimes out of the west. No wind sensor can react fast enough to bring in an awning before it is ruined.

The economy selection delays down shifting, keeping it a higher gear longer for a bit more economy. It works best in rolling country....in economy it will stay in 6th gear, if not in economy, as soon as it senses a hill or slight loss of speed, it will down shift not to lose any speed or gain back the speed lost.

I think the rules have changed and 24k is now permitable on the dually wheel axle.

The chassis maker decides whether or not to use a coolant filter, and puts it on if required. When I first got this coach, Freightliner was adamant about using non ELC coolant. Now they say you can use either ELC or standard coolant, because both should be changed at 100k or five years. I use the Herman method of putting the coolant in. The only difference is when it's getting nearly full, I had half a gallon of each, slowly. When I changed my coolant, nobody....engine maker, chassis maker or REV Group had any idea the capacity of the system. There "guesses" ranged from 32 gallons to 24 quarts....actual capacity is 15/16 gallons.

Yes, manager or owner....most clerks could care less.

RV parks are getting more like hotels/motels, it's a good idea to have a reservation. The bad part is most will charge the full amount when you make the reservation. I recently made seven reservations, five charged the full amount, one wanted my CC number but would wait until we got there to charge the card, and one wanted nothing but my word that I would let them know ASAP if I had to cancel.

I'm on my second set of Blue Ox, no problems.

I'd have the transmission fluid tested before doing any service to it. I have mine checked annually....get a report of all the chemicals/fluids that are in it.

It's all part of the GPS, just like all the features found on a normal GPS.

You guys are making my head hurt. When I replaced tires in the summer of 2019, I replaced all eight. That way the only thing that hurt was my credit card.😀

Garmin has a couple of RV GPS systems. You set it up for the size of your RV. They also have RV maintenance and CGs programmed into it.
-
Have a mechanic check it over...what about maintenance records?

At our American Coach rallies, nobody would show up without a BYOB statement at the end!😀

As a comparison, my DD 13 is 12.8L, 781CC, 500 HP, 1650 ft/lbs torque and weighs about 2,580 with it's 42 quarts of oil.

Same here, lots of wind in Vegas, could do more harm than good.

Looking at a 2005 Monaco Signature with a 515 60 Series Detroit Diesel. (113,000 miles approx.)
Herman
What is the displacement on the 60 series DD and the weight of the coach?

DEF was made mandatory in the 2010 models. It's no big deal, just something you need to remember to do. I look at like going from leaded to unleaded fuel....just something required. I have had two big diesels, on with DEF, one without, no problems fuel wise with either one.

Ditto on the Michelins....I put Toyo M144s on the rear and Continental HA 3s on the front....tire dealer couldn't get 315 Toyos for the front in a timely manner.

I just Binged this question. Bing says the towing capacity is "5000 to 7500 lbs, depending on trim and model year.

The Michelin web site talks about a six year warranty, no mention of a 10 year warranty. They will say they should be changed at 10 years. Check the many RV forums, it is full of posts about Michelins cracking around five years....as my 295s did, the 315s were still okay, but I changed all of them.
