  1. Which are you planning on towing, a GMC or a Subaru? You have posted the the same question about each.

If in fact you want to know about towing a GMC and it is 4 wheel drive, then the answer is YES. Over the past 9 years I have towed three different Chevrolet Pickups and a GMC Yukon. I used Blue Ox Tow Bar and Base Plates with a M & G air brake on each of them. I have been happy with this setup, Just purchased a new Blue Ox tow bar in Gillette.

  2. I may be mistaken but looking at the tail lights and hub caps it may be from the sixty's. They remind me of a Lincoln from that aria. I noticed that it must be all aluminum with all the rivets.

I would like to see it restored. It would be a conversation piece.

  3. Simon welcome to the Forum.

Does your Diplomat have slides? If so check all of your bay doors under each slide. Monaco has  Safety Switches to keep the slide from coming in case a bay door might be open under the slide. I know this from experience.

    Again Welcome,

  4. Battery Isolater is an easy check. Center post is from alternator. Lower post most times is to house bank and upper is to chassis batteries. With volt meter and engine running test all three post. Center post measures alternator, should be approximately 13.75 volts. Both of the others should be the same. If not then you have a battery Isolater.

Be sure all terminals are clean.
