  1. I believe the 2019 or 2020 Ford Edge has Electronic Steering . I have heard that you need power for the steering when towing so you need the battery connected and the key on. So as Ross said add a charge line from the coach to the tow vehicle. That way you would be keeping the power up for both the steering and the brake system.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong about the steering.

  2. My son told me to try their BBQ sandwich. I was a bit reluctant because it was prepackaged, but I was surprised at how good it really was. And yes when inside it gets expensive. It's like going to Camping World after you bought your first RV, Wow! we could really use that when camping and 5 year later it is still unused, with the price tag still on and taking up storage space.

    It's the experience of it.

Been there, done that and have the Tee Shirt.

Just an update... I went to a Loves that had a CAT scale, and was able to get a weight on each axel, although, not 4 corners...

Weight is fully loaded with 4 adults and all our stuff....

    Steer Axel = 5740

    Drive Axel = 12320

    Gross 18060

So I'm good if I'm reading charts correctly... I'm at 95 PSI... probably drop them down to 90 to give me a margin....

I know I'm being a pain and I apologize... just want to get this correct and be sure I have this straight in my thick head....

Factoring in a 15% cushion, and the additional weight of full water and fuel, I THINK I'm looking at 3500 LB on the front tires, and 3700 LB on the rears.

according to the load inflation chart, that's 80 PSI on the front and 85-90 PSI on the rear.... ?

Fatbill, do I see a conflict in your numbers?

  4. Don, if you could find the name of the film it may help a lot of folks. Maybe you have the invoice where you had it installed.

I have heard but can't verify it, one of the reason the 3M or Diamond shield fail is that it is install most of the time on what is refereed to as Green Paint, paint that hasn't completely cured.  (New Coaches)

  5. Andy, we had our's removed by Xtreme Graphic in Nacogdoches, paint underneath was buffed out and looks great. Did not have it replaced. Of course I was lucky, I had some damaged to the front corner and James convinced the adjuster that he could not match the paint without removing the D/S, insurance covered the cost.

I  Think if you look at the tail light wiring, the second set of wires on the DS, run over to the PS.

CC, I have to correct you on one point part of the wiring connects both, however the Yellow wire is for the Left (Driver side) Turn signal while the Green is for the Right (Passengers side) turn signal and should never be connected together . Through some magic they come together for Stop and Flasher signals. Most is done through the turn signal module in the steering column.
