I had the Garmin Truck version and now the Rand McNally. I like the RM unit much more as it is, amoung other things, RV specific.

WE use this unit: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/...-softener/34619 It is easy to use, easy to store, and easy to "flush". Do not drain the water from it as you will also drain the brown resin. It is not heavy and works very well. We use it all of the time.

There 2 weeks ago for 2 weeks. Great location for golf, Isle of Palms, Dunes, and Charleston. Lots to do. In other words a very convenient base ( location, location, location). Very friendly and helpful staff. My overall rating for the Facilities is about a 7. Would return for the location not the facilities.
