  1. You're wasting your time trying to talk to Marcus . I have never heard of him doing anything to try to solve any problems associated with lousy service at C. W. They (CW) doesn't give a flip about any service provided by them to anybody that has problems .

  2. I changed the fuel filter this morning and it seems to be running fine now. I ran it for over 2 1/2 hours and no problem.

I really appreciate your's and all the responses as I didn't have any Idea where to start and I learned where to look and change the oil filter and oil myself.

  3. I have a 7500 W Quite Diesel Gen and when I try to run the AC's the gen bogs down looses power and idles at a very slow pace until I take the load off at the thermostat switch . It then returns to a normal idle and the power is restored .

When I say bogs down it goes to a low idle and drops the load.

I had a repair man look at the AC's and they are running at 9 Amps under start up and load conditions and at first the generator runs fine but after about an hour the problem starts . From there it only runs for about 2 or 3 min .

The gen started this while we were at the Indy Car Races Saturday night after running continuously 24 hours.

The fuel gauge is 3/4 full so I don't know where to look HELP.

    Regards,

    Michael

  4. Allied has a vanishing deductible which can save money and help if you ever have a claim . I've haven't had any claims but so far I like them . We had GMAC Ins and had **** trying to get them to repair my coach when I did have a claim. They doubled my premium when it came time to renew . Never use them again .

  5. I spoke with Newmar and what I have is a 10 gal Suburban gas/ elect. water heater . There is a switch for the electric side that doesn't seem to be working either . To be safe I am going to take it to a RV Repair next week so they can find and fix the problem . Meanwhile I am going to get some vinegar and flush the system .

Thanks for the replies and hope everyone has a great RVing season

  6. Bill,

It doesn't do any thing until I turn the switch on and off after it sits for a while . It then relights the burner to start warming up again. The bad thing is there are no mgf tag to see what type it is . I'm going to look at the manuals that were supplied to see if there is any information so right now I'm stumped . The contacts looked good and are tight , there's no corrosion on them and everything looks fine . I'm going to start all over tomorrow and see where it takes me . I also thing I'll call Newmar and see if the service adviser can give me any Information Thanks form the reply

  7. Thanks Rich for the info I will do that first thing in the morning.

What it usually does is light the first time and the red light will go out. But then the light stays out until I reset or turn the switch off and back on only after a long period of time has elapsed.

Thanks for the replies from you and Herman

  8. My water heater starts just fine when first turned on but then won't cycle to keep the water hot.

I have blown the tube out to make sure there aren't any restrictions or trash in it but still won't work properly .

It has to sit a long time before I can get it to restart and we're fixing to have to have it at the NASCAR Races at Texas and momma don't like cold showers Help!!!!!!

  9. Should I dump the air in the air bags when I store the coach or leave them aired up ?

I just recently purchased the 2003 Newmar Dutch Star this year and am not sure the proper way to store it.

I did find one corner had leaked down when I went out to start and run the Generator and Coach after sitting for 2 weeks.

I usually try to run the systems regularly while in storage. :)

  10. When we went to the Six State Rally for the first time last year they had a staging area that we pulled into. We were directed to go to the registration desk and we could pick up a rally schedule for the activities and seminars .

We were then escorted to the parking area where we stayed for the rest of the meet , we really enjoyed the rally and had allot of fun there. This year we belong to one of the host chapters for the Six State Rally and look forward to being there.

I think it is very beneficial for all members to get to go to at least one FMCA Regional rally to see in person what goes on and get to meet some of the officers and people from their area-- even meet the President and or vice president of FMCA .

Good Luck and hope you enjoy the Rally

  11. Thanks for the replies.

After talking with Newmar and Dupont who makes the Corian, that might be a good Idea to use the epoxy coating. Both said there was no treatment available to seal the finish and that it was the nature of the beast to live with the stains and use bleach to get them out.

    Michael

  12. Herman,

Thanks for the reply and yes it is a corian counter top, the sink is a dull white and has no shine to it at all. It stains easy and is hard to remove, haven't experienced anything like this before.

Also called the Newmar Corp cust. support to see if they have any solutions or aware of this in the past. They sent me a Dupont file for me to research.

To change the subject are you going to be at the Six State next month. We are going to be working at the vendors area with the club maybe we'll see ya there?

    Regards,

    Michael
