  1. This festival is awesome. A bit of information and advice. When you reserve your site, tickets are included to balloon field. BUT, after the inflations are over, they close the gates to field, and the concessions are closed. The best, is to tow a vehicle, so you can leave the site and visit and shop the area. We have been to this festival 2 times, and had a great time. THERE ARE SHUTTLES THAT ARE AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF LAUNCHINGS. So, even if you are at any of the sites you can get around easily. Really, if affordable, take the presidential site. Hope you make the plans. Have yourself a great time.
  2. Before traveling through El Paso, check with txdot.com. I 10 will have many evening to morning closures through October. It is possible to use the frontage roads, but just a heads up.
  3. Can anyone help me identify my awning. 1988 R & R Suncrest Need to order part, but do not know model number
  4. I have a 1988 vintage Surburban furnace. I am not happy with airflow from this furnace. Looking for a possible more powerful blower. This is a 15000 btu furnace. It wants to cycle burner off before turning fan off. My thoughts were either a faulty high limit switch, or not enough airflow. Has anyone else had this condition? If so, what are my options.
  5. If anyone is either traveling, or visiting in New Mexico this Holiday season. Here is a link to a very pleasing adventure. A boat ride down the Pecos River. Many homes decorate for this 22 year event. Follow the link for more information www.//christmasonthepecos.com/ We attend, once every three years. If you are passing through, you may want to see this event. If not, Have a safe and enjoyable Holiday.
  6. For all that did not attend, here are just a few pics of the event. We really had a good time, eventhough 1 day flights were cancelled.
  7. Glad to see another member attending the festival. Both the wife and I will be there the 8th 9th and 10th. Our coach carries member # 432815 As far as traveling south to Texas, make sure you have enough fuel Alb prices a very reasonable at this time. 25 is the best way to travel If you need fuel on the way, the best place to stop, is in Las Cruces. Get off at exit 142, and turn left, then stop at Murphy Express. They have the best prices on your way to Texas. Wishing you a great time, and trip. Hope to see you at the festival Ken & Dorothy (Hugger5)
  8. Having purchased a New Brake Buddy, I was somewhat questioning the correct setup. Well, this is what my setup entailed: I put the unit, on the passenger floor, and plugged unit in. Set to all defaults began to drive in my fashion. Driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, I watched operation as I drove. I wanted the unit to respond to moderate braking. Stepped up sensitivity 1 step at a time. Found that #4 sensitivity, and 60 pounds of pressure met my style. Hooked up toad to motorhome, had wife sit in toad while driving around area. This seemed to to give me good braking, for the way I drive. Tapping brake to de-energize cruise control. did not set brake. At this setting, Brake Buddy also helps in stopping unit. Being that we live, and travel in the mountains,it was important to have good control. Tomorrow, we leave from New Mexico to Chicago. If I encounter any problems on trip, I will certainly post. Safe traveling to all. and enjoy.
  9. I would definitely, take the I 81 route. As taking the other route, you will encounter many small towns, and not good roads at times. We live in New Mexico, and travel many side roads. Either way, hope you will enjoy your adventure. Also, another consideration. The best place to stay in Carlbad, would be, the Carlsbad KOA. We have stayed a few times, and the operator is very helpful. Too bad you won't be making the trip in December. You might enjoy Christmas on the Pecos. About 100 homes along the river decorate. It is a 45 minute cruise on pontoon boats. Really a site to see in the South West
  10. Rich and all others, If you have a Kohler 4.5CKYM rv 100, with a Kohler KT17EP, here is a link to a service manual of the engine: http://www.asberry.net/files/TP-2043-A.pdf Took me a few days to find this. Hope it helps someone else
  11. RICK THANKS AGAIN. YES THE PARTS MANUAL IS THE ONE FOR MY GENSET. COUPLED WITH THE LINK TO THE OTHER SERVICE MANUAL, I HAVE GOOD INFORMATION. 12. Rich Thanks a bunch. This link is a parts list for my generator. Hopefully someone will find a link for a service manual. I really appreciate your help, this gives me more info than I was even able to find. This is what FMCA is all about. Members helping members. With what you have supplied, we may have a betyer time at the ALB baloon fest this year. Thanks again. Hope all your travels are safe and enjoyable.
  13. We have an older Suncrest class A. It has a 4.5 CKYM RV 100 generator. I would like help in locating a service manual for this unit. If anyone has any info, we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance to all out there.
  14. My wife and I will be at the Balloonfest Oct 8 through 10. Can anyone suggest good places to dine. We would really like to find a Greek style rest. We are originally from Chicago, and miss a good Gyros. We will have our toad, so leaving the grounds will not be a problem. Also a suggestion of real Chicago style hotdogs, the ones, on a poppy seed bun, with a garden of veggies . We wish to thank any advice. Hope all are enjoying time spent on the road.
  15. If anyone is interested in attending the baloon festival. go to http://www.balloonfiesta.com/ . First, select number of days to stay. Then select October, then select day you wish to arrive. All presidential sites are sold out. But there are 3 other types of sites available: One site has power available. We chose the VIP site. This includes admission to the park. Note, there are two sessions per day to the festival. Tickets are $8 per person. The wife and I will be there Oct 8 , 9 , 10. Hope to see a few other members there. Look for us FMCA # 432815
