  1. Rich,

The top sides of my coach are also peeling. It is the clear coat peeling and the sun here in AZ is very tough. I got a quote to repair the clear coat of $2000. They will have to at least 2/3rds of the top sides on both sides of the coach. This seems very expensive considering what has to be done. Can you tell my how you would go about repairing the clear coat?

  2. I purchased a Corner Stone United extended warranty through Lazy Days when I bought my coach. I have a warranty claim due to a seal leak in the front leveling cylinder. The rod was scored so the whole cylinder had to be replaced. Why not just replace the rod is beyond me. Corner Stone is replacing the cylinder minus my $500 deductible and I have to pay the inbound freight, but considering what a new cylinder would cost I am happy. Just an FYI...

  3. Thanks guys. I saw the zerk fitting and notified the dealer about it for the rear cylinders as well as the front. I guess there is a grease gun in my future. I did question Lazy Days whether or not they greased the cylinders before I purchased the rig. If not they may have some liability in this mess.

  4. Set-up to camp at Picacho Paek RV park in AZ on Monday. Unit would not level. I have a Power Gear leveling system with three cylinders. On inspecting the cylinders I found oil coming out of the front leveling cylinder. Blown rod seal.

Since I could not build pressure on the rod side the cylinder would not retract. Had to crawl under the coach, remove three cylinder attachment bolts, loosen the fourth and move the cylinder horizontal to wire it up to the sub frame.

This was the only way we could get the motorhome to a dealer to fix the problem. The two rear cylinders seem to be OK at this time.

Should I consider a rod seal replacement in these also?

Has anyone else had the same problem I just experienced.

    Looking for feedback.

  5. I have two problems with the macerator that came with our coach. First is the time it takes to empty both tanks, especially when you use the sprayer in the black tank. Second is you never really quite empty the tank. There is always some residue in the tank as well as the 3" feeder line going to the macerator. I just don't like to have grey water sitting in the line.

  6. We travel with a 30-pound Australian shepherd. As most dogs do, ours likes to sit in the driver's or passenger's seat when the coach is parked. There have been times when we have returned to the coach and found the sun screens in various positions. Obviously, she has stepped on one or more switches.

Do any of you have suggestions on making covers for the switches on the driver's and passenger's side of the coach?

  7. Lee,

The original writer mentioned that your company would come to PA to install the replacement roof. My question is are there dealers that would install the roof in the buyer's local area, or is a big part of the price travel expenses for your personnel? I live in the Tucson, AZ area and you know what sun does to motorhomes. You can see our unit description below.

  8. Brett,

Thank you for the heads up. I have heard air exhausting on the roadside front wheel after I leveled and exited the coach. I had previously activated and held the air dump valve before leveling and just thought air was still exhausting. It is very possible that the front air dump valve gets stuck. What is the procedure to fix this?

  9. Lazy Days told me that the aux tank came as a kit when they ordered the Blue Ox Air Force One system. So far the coach has been outside their shop for 10 days without leaning. Don't know what to say just have to figure out is I did something to cause it to lean.

  10. mycroft,

Good Sam does cover your rig and your tow vehicle. I have a Good Sam card in each vehicle for the inevitable emergency that will occur. Just used Good Sam to jump start my 2013 CRV as I stupidly left the key in ACCY overnight. Called Good Sam and in 30 minutes had my tow started.

I have to agree that each situation is unique and both companies have plusses and minuses.
