  1. Hello, It's best to get rid of the lap sealant, self leveling caulking and replace with a 4" fiber backed seam tape that accepts a coating, then prime and coat with a quality rv roof coating.
  2. Wolfe10, What you want on your rv roof seams is a 4" fiber backed seam tape that accepts a coating, so your rv roof is seamless, the only caulking that you need to use is from the gutter rail down(pro-flex) by Geocel.
  3. From my experience with Never Leak RV Roofing in Florida they replaced my roof on a 36' 5er with wood replacement and a couple rafters new epdm rubber roof with a coating for under $6,000.00.
  4. It's not what the MH roof is made of it's what seals it, by getting rid if the lap sealant, self leveling caulking and replacing with a 4" fiber backed seam tape that accepts a coating, you will never have to inspect your roof seams again.
  5. Carl, in order to stop all RV roof leaks is get rid of the lap sealant, self leveling caulking and use a 4" fiber backed seam tape that accepts a coating then coat with a quality roof coating.
