Here's something else I have all the parts for, just need some warmer weather to install. It has always bothered me about how much water is wasted when waiting for the shower to warm up. This valve along with a temperature sensor will divert the water back to the fresh tank until the water temp gets warm enough.

The key to running a residential fridge on an inverter is to look at the specs and shoot for the lowest amp draw. My 20 CF Samsung max draw is 3.9, it is an inverter style fridge and typical draw is about 1.7 after startup which is pretty consistent, therefore a rather small solar system will provide plenty of reserve power to keep it running for days when there is adequate sunshine for 8 or more hours in each day.

I think most refrigerators draw around 8 amps for the defrost cycle which could happen every 8 hours.  What I have done on those installations is put a switch on the heater circuit so I can turn off the autodefrost when on the inverter.

FIVE.  You might be right, never tried it.  As for fog, rain & dark, I'm not a happy camper, when that happens in coach.  I still have to H/U & get wet. :( There are drawback's on both!  In a full time situation, we would want our toys with us & that means a Stacker trailer.   In a 5'er, you would need 2 trucks.   Since we have a beach house and 3 ranches between us, I don't think full time is in the cards!

You can wait until morning and maybe the weather is better and then you can hook up.

Never said it was less expensive, just that at times getting a residential fridge installed isn't practical.

I did a residential conversion last year.  10.2 cu ft bottom freezer 24 in wide.  Took out a Dometic that was 32 in wide and had 8 inches for a slide out pantry 5 ft tall. The new one has a larger interior than the old one.  I made sure it was approved for RV use, had trouble with one in my last coach, compressor failed in 7 months.  I bought this one at Best Buy on sale for $299 and for $100 extended the warranty to 5 years.  Used it for 4 months this summer and was one of the better improvements I did to the coach.
