  1. Try putting an amprobe clamp on meter on the circuit to the second ac the amprobe will capture startup current and running current the campground electrician should have one mayby he'll help you out only takes 5 minuets to do not counting drinking beers with him and thanking him for being a good sport. The Onan Tec.should have thought of it and done it an amprobe is a tool he should have for that kind of troubleshooting. You can check both AC units and see if #2 is actually the culprit. I am an electrician and do work at a cg on cape cod I would gladly help another camper out. Buy the way shore power usually has enough reserve capacity to power it on however you may notice it strugle to start. Might only be a start cap easy repair.

  2. Joe I think you are on to something bad grounds will cause all kinds of crazy things. I would start with cleaning ALL combo turn/ running light sockets. On my coach the lights started doing crazy things freightliner told me to unplug connectors on light control module for 10 seconds and it will reset it worked I chaced it for 3 days before I called them all has been fine since. I have a smart wheel and all buttons were screwed up.

  3. That is what a loose connection can do. If it is was at a breaker the breaker will trip on thermal due to the heat that builds up and not usually do so much damage. I guess it wouldn't hurt to check all connections from the power cord and generator all the way up to and including the power panel at least once a year. As somebody put it these are rolling earthquakes and things tend to loosen up.
