Internet Access On The Road
RWDMLD18 replied to missbrandie's topic in RV Internet to Go/Staying in Touch
We use our AT&T Iphone as a modem to our laptops. We also use the camp ground WI FI alonf with a JEFA Tech modem and antenna to boost the weak Campground signal. Also if you are in a area with other free WiFi signals JEFA tech will pickup the signal. My antenna has a range of 1 Mile. Bob and Mary Dawson FMCA # F408869 SMART #13652 -

I am trying to install a digital converter box. I am having difficulty following the TV cables. The RV has a box up front Cable A, TV, Cable B. In the bedroom the box is Cable A, Cable B, TV, VCR. The antenna has a power switch. I came to this conclusion because there is a very small switch on next to the antenna cable connection. If I could find the TV cable drawings I could determine were to put the digital converter. Bob

Installing RoadMaster Brake Assist 9700
RWDMLD18 replied to RWDMLD18's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Thanks TButler. -
I have installed the Roadmaster 9700 wiring harness in my 2006 GM Canyon. I have also installed the wire harness for the LED Light and warning horn in my 1999 Sea Breeze. The 9700 installation directions state to install a wire to the cold side of the brake light switch in the truck to complete the circuit. Where is this switch in the 2006 Canyon? Which wire would be the cold side? Is the cold the neutral?
-
Thanks, Brett. I thought so, but I had to ask the question. I do have the harness kit that has the additional bulbs. I will install per the directions.

My 2006 GMC Canyon truck is wired for a trailer. If a long wiring harness is plugged in to the trailer adapter at the tow hitch and than plugged in to the RV tow light adapter, will the truck tail light work?

Steve, when I ordered the solar panel there was a charging indicator below the panel so I ordered it. The bes I can determine there curently is nit a charging indicator. Do you know were one would be on a National RV- Sea Breeze?
-
Thanks Steve, My better-half was searching the internet last night and she found on the Dometic site our AC unit manual. There is a part number for the solar panel. I am planning to get with Dometic and order it. Thanks for your help. by the way the wire from the solar panel is spliced in under an access panel in the front of the AC unit. The solar panel was installed by the RV dealer when the orginal owner purchased the RV. Bob

The solar panel was only to trickle charge the 2 6-volt house batteries - it was just mounted on the AC shroud, not charging the AC.
