  1. You are right.. I will do that. My husband and I went camping in Greenfield State Park this summer. It was $25.00 a night with no hookups. We received a $5.00 a night discount for being seniors, but the booking fee was $8.25. So we saved 1.75
  2. You might want to check out the national forests a lot of them have dispersed camping for free. Also check out Freecampsites.net and Campendium
  3. Hello My husband Bill and I have been RVing since we since we had a VW split window camper van. We lived in it while we were getting our home. We lived in a 24 foot camper after we lost our home in a fire, we also had a class C. Just one year ago we bought a Class A Motorhome a 1994 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager 102. Even though it was old, it only had 28,000 miles on it and 40 hours on the generator. After I had a life saving surgery we decided we wanted to travel the county life is too short. We did some up grades to the coach... new memory foam mattress, put in LED lights, new tires, and Bill redid the rubber roof. We had wanted to sell our home but we ran out of time, but we decided to leave frozen NH for the warmth of Florida for the winter. We have been on the road for 3 months and we love it. We have four rescue dogs.. all are older.. Our youngest is 12 years. We are looking forward to meeting other members...
  4. My husband and I left NH in Nov.. to go to FL. We made no reservations and stayed up in Northern FL for 2 months. Our daughter gave us tickets to a Red Sox game so we decided we would go to Fort Myers and stay awhile. We did not realize how hard it is to get reservations... We did luck out though and found 4 nights at W.P. Franklin Park Campground in Alva and 5 nights at Ortona South Recreation Area. They are both part of the Lock system and we had sites on the water.... with covered picnic tables. Gravel patio with level paved lots. Free hot showers, water and electric for $15.00 a night with our Senior Pass. Life is good. At Ortona they even have free WIFI in the shower house.. The campgrounds are clean and quiet... I am posting the views we had from our sites.
  5. I live in NH and none of the state parks have hook ups.. except for the ones on the beach and then they don't allow pets. The people that don't pick up after their dogs are the same people who leave trash etc at their campsites. I am disappointed in NH State Parks.
