CAROLBERG Report post Posted March 28, 2017 We will be leaving Largo Fl. around April 18 and would like to go to New Orleans first for a few days then make our way back to Petoskey Michigan. Would like to know where there is some nice RV parks in New Orleans. Thanks. Don
0 hermanmullins Report post Posted March 28, 2017 Don, If it were me, I would park at a very busy Walmart. See the town then turn North on I-49 til I got to Texarkana. Then I would find a park. Herman (Sorry, I am sure there are some really nice places in N/Os, I am just not fond of the city. It's just a personal issue.)
0 wayne77590 Report post Posted March 28, 2017 When we stayed it was at the New Orleans West KOA. As you are driving to it you will say, "Hmmm! Do I really want to be in this area?" They do not have pull-throughs but the back-in were wide enough and the ground guide (at that time) was great. It is about 25 minutes from down town NO and the have a shuttle twice a day that will bring you to down-town. From what I have heard you do not want to be down-town at night - but that is hearsay. 0 blakeloke Report post Posted March 28, 2017 We've stayed at the French Quarter RV Resort a few times. Pricey but very nice. It's gated and secure and only a few blocks from the Quarter. http://www.fqrv.com/about-the-resort.html Blake
