treken Report post Posted April 4, 2018 Would it be advantageous to use a weight distribution hitch in a class A diesel pusher for towing an enclosed car trailer? I am getting some sway while towing???
manholt Report post Posted April 4, 2018 Treken. Welcome to the Forum! Need some additional information. Make, model, length of both unit's? What type of hook up & trailer, do you have?
kaypsmith Report post Posted April 4, 2018 As you already understand, weight is the critical key element. How much weight is the DP capable of towing, and how well is the weight distributed in the trailer will be key factors in deciding what needs to be corrected to give the best results. In addition to Carl's questions. Also will be helpful to know what is swaying, just the trailer, or both DP and trailer.
desertdeals69 Report post Posted April 4, 2018 If you tongue weight is too much an equalizing hitch is what is needed. If sway is a problem then an anti sway system should be used.
Htarnoff Report post Posted May 9, 2018 I have a 40’ pusher with a 24’ enclosed car hauler. My heaviest hot rod is 4900# and I run with both a sway bar and a weight distributing hitch.
