klhldh Report post Posted July 11, 2018 Can I bypass my entry door battery disconnect switch. The solenoid has no power and the switch is not working after it was accidentally used by my kids multiple times. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
dickandlois Report post Posted July 11, 2018 Klhldh, Welcome to the Forum ! Question for you - The switch - is it a momentary one or a toggle Switch . Momentary style - one can just jump the 2 wires that activate the disconnect solenoid and it should stay latched - only 12 volt circuit but having a meter handy is very helpful. Toggle style switch - one can install a temporary one of the time being. Maybe covering it up and mention it is not a toy. Rich.
wolfe10 Report post Posted July 12, 2018 You can also locate the solenoid. Then mark the wire(s) on one large terminal. Remove them and ADD THEM to the wire(s) on the other large terminal. This is electrically the same as having the solenoid ON.
