wildebill308 Report post Posted September 17, 2018 I don't use them unless the price is comparable or they are the only place. Lots of places make you go inside and and pay/swipe your card. Then your card is billed at the actual amount pumped. I always go back and get a receipt. Bill
richard5933 Report post Posted September 17, 2018 Of course, there are also places like Kwik Trip in Wisconsin that will let you start the pump with any credit card at the pump. However, the pump will automatically shut off at $125. Then you've got to start the process all over again. Not terrible but it can be confusing if you forget about it and expect to pump lots more. wildebill308 Report post Posted September 18, 2018 I don't think restarting the pump is that big of a deal. The shut off point varies from station to station. Kroger limits it to 35 gal. Bill
akadeadeye Report post Posted September 20, 2018 We never stop at Loves. Prices are almost always the highest. I use a credit card that gives a 5% discount on all fuel purchases. With $2.85 diesel price, that's a savings of $0.1425 per gallon. No discount I have seen can match that so I don't pay cash anymore, nor do I use my pilot/FlyingJ card.
