kenewton7@gmail.com Report post Posted March 13, 2021 We purchased our new 2021 Tiffin Allegro Red 340/38LL this past October. I have been researching my operator manuals, freightliner, tiffin, and allison for the answer to my question regarding entering manual shift mode using the on the column control stick. The manual says to slide the M/A button to switch between Manual and Automatic shift modes. However this option appears to be disabled. If I push the control stick forward, it changes from D1 to M1. However, if I start off in M1 (Manual Shift) it reverts back to D1 (auto shift) when I pull back on the control stick. Does anyone else have this type of transmission programming and if so is it normal?
jleamont Report post Posted March 13, 2021 I would call Tiffin and see if they have that programmed that way for a reason. There are many options turned off, I guess to keep it simple for some operators, they deactivate most things that folks like me find useful.
manholt Report post Posted March 14, 2021 If you don't get the info from Tiffin Tech, then call Allison or Cummins for a reprogram.
