brown774 Report post Posted December 8, 2021 (edited) We just moved our coach to an RV storage area. They offer high tech trickle chargers for both the house battery bank and the chassis bank. Should I give on board inverter/charger a break and use the trickle chargers or just plug to the 15 amp circuit with my shore power cord as usual? thanks Edited December 8, 2021 by brown774
richard5933 Report post Posted December 8, 2021 All depends on what you have for an on-board charger setup. If it's a modern multi-stage system, my money's on just letting it continue to do its thing by plugging in with an adapter. The problem with trickle chargers can be that some charge at too-high of a voltage and can boil your batteries. Alternatively, fully charge the batteries and then just disconnect them. They should make it months without a problem if they are fully charged.
wildebill308 Report post Posted December 9, 2021 I tend to agree with Richard, especially if they charge extra for the high tech trickle chargers . Your coach should have a multi stage charger. I would trust but verify till you have confidence it is working the way you want it to. Should be good to go on a 2007. Bill
