wildebill308 Report post Posted April 29, 2023 Welcome to the forum. Not enough info, What load are you running? I would see what is avalible in the tire program that will carey the weight. I like the Michelin Defenders but don't know if they come in a hi enough weight rating. I woulden't run anything below load range "E" on something I was towing with. I might need to go higher based on the load. Bill
Joe P Report post Posted April 29, 2023 Thanks Wildebill! We are towing a Grand Design 22mle at 5300 lbs dry weight with a 150 max tow package and weight distribution/sway system. It handles nicely however my tires are a little tired at 55K miles
rayin Report post Posted April 29, 2023 DO NOT buy or use "P" (passenger car) rated tires on your pickup, buy "LT" (light truck) tires. "P" rated tires have soft flexible sidewalls for rider comfort, but are a poor choice for towing a trailer or hauling a load.
djsamuel Report post Posted April 29, 2023 I recently purchased Michelin Defender LTX light truck tires for my Ram 1500. They are excellent, and I notice a difference when towing my camper. I would highly recommend them.
