Avoiding Wrinkles In Splendide Washer/dryer

Recommended Posts

We have the Splendide 210XC model. Any suggestions on ways to avoid wrinkles in the drying cycle? We do love the convenience of having our own in-house "laundromat."

Thanks.

Carol

Folds jeans and sheets before you put it in the dryer. Sounds stupid, right? Well it works and the material drys just as fast as just trying to fluff the stuff.

When drying, remember that you cannot dry as much as you wash. They say wash 15# and dry 11# but Janet usually dries half of what she washed and dries the other half.

You also need to remove everything from the washer and shake it out before drying. The rinse/spin cycle is so fast that stuff sticks to the sides. If you simply set it to dry upon completion of the wash you will not be happy.

Biggest help my wife has found is don't overload machine! These units will wash twice as much as they will dry. We wash 2 sheets and pillowcases but only dry 1 of each at a time. It is a little labor intensive but it sure beats going to a laundermat! Darrell

Hi Carol:

We have found:

- we need to really "shake out" the wet clothing between the wash and the dry cycles

- divide the wet load into two (yes, takes longer - but a lot less wrinkles)

we too are so glad to have the combo unit :-)

regards, pdq

I will unlock after the wash cycle is complete. There should not be any lock restrictions on the dry cycle. You should never set the unit to wash and then automatically dry as you will end up with some very nasty results. Do the wash, remove and shakeout the laundry (and/or reduce the load since you can wash more than you can dry) and return the proper load to dry. Once you are drying you can open and close the door at will. The door locks during wash to prevent folks from opening the door while water is present and flooding your coach (home).
