smalexander Report post Posted September 14, 2011 Motorhome is a Damon Astoria. One of the side windows on my motorhome is broken, we think a rock was thrown at it. I have purchased a new window, frame and all from Thor. It arrived today, in just 3 weeks! (Quote was 6 weeks.) Has anyone replaced a side window in a motorhome? I thought the inner frame and outer frame are screwed together to hold the window in but the new outer frame does not have screw holes. If anyone could give be a clue I'd appreciate it. dwightginnyputzke Report post Posted September 14, 2011 Steve Compare your original window frame to the new frame. I believe the new window is inserted from the outside and held in place while you install the inside frame and reuse the original screws if they are self drilling. (Do not over-tighten with a power screwdriver or drill). Window glass is usually available to reuse the original frame if the frame is not the welded style. hermanmullins Report post Posted September 14, 2011 Steve, how is the window you need to replace held in? If it is a match to your old window it should go back in in reverse order of the unit you removed. Be sure to have sealant handy when putting it back in.
