Vanaman Report post Posted September 20, 2011 I replaced the 6 volt batters, some how managed to reverse polarity. Got that problem solved and every thing works except the three living room and dining room lights. These are the 12 volt fluorescent lights. I took one down but it didn't seem to have any kind of ballast. I have also checked all fuses and seem to find my self in need of some help/advice. Thank you. wolfe10 Report post Posted September 20, 2011 No ballast on a florescent sounds strange. What brand and model/what bulbs?
vtbigdog Report post Posted September 20, 2011 I would first check to make sure you have power to the light switches. Are there other fluorescent lights that do work? Do you have a DC switch near your door?
desertdeals69 Report post Posted September 21, 2011 Check voltage at the non working light fixture. If there is 12 volt present then the fixture is bad.
vtbigdog Report post Posted September 21, 2011 Hmmm. 4 fixtures going bad at the same time? I would more likely think there is a blown fuse that would account for all 4 going out at the same time.
