fmcajohnedaniels Report post Posted February 21, 2012 Have a 1995 40 ft. Beaver motorhome without slideouts with 150k miles and it must be stored in a commercial yard at $60 per month. Runs fine but driver is having health problems so touring is limited to summer and now looking at giving up touring. Looked at market value and it looks like a sale would not be worth the effort. Have thought about donating but haven't done anything about it yet. Any suggestions?
wolfe10 Report post Posted February 21, 2012 John, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. Actually, there a lot of people looking for a solid built, non-complex higher end DP. Particularly if you have all the maintenance records, it could make someone a great coach. Brett
Guest BillAdams Report post Posted February 21, 2012 I still love my 1988 coach and believe there would be a market for it should I ever sell. You should be able to sell your privately or by consignment if you take a bit of time to check around.
Larry196 Report post Posted February 22, 2012 I would think that a donation to http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ would net a great deal of satisfaction and also a good tax deduction. I have not tried to ask if they would be able to use it but makes sense to me, I can't think of a better cause to support. Larry
aztec7fan Report post Posted February 23, 2012 Try selling it on Craigslist.org or other local site. My guess is if it's a gas unit you could get $8-10K, and if it's a Diesel, possibly $15K or more. That's much more than what you could get written off taxes for donating it.
