dennysnine Report post Posted March 10, 2012 We have a 2005 American Tradition motorhome. We need to empty the fresh water tank. No books to tell us how to do this. Does anyone have any idea about valves or anything to turn to get the water out?
wolfe10 Report post Posted March 10, 2012 Hopefully someone else with your make and model will chime in, but look under the coach in the area of the potable water tank. You are looking for an open hose, usually 1/2-3/4" ID exiting the bottom of the coach. The drain valve is generally just above it. Brett
hermanmullins Report post Posted March 10, 2012 dennysnine, Welcome to the Forum. Can you locate your water pump? 90% of the time your drain valve will be right there.
dennysnine Report post Posted March 10, 2012 Thank you for the tip we didn't find a valve, but took hose off the water pump and it let out all the water, Thanks for your help.
hermanmullins Report post Posted March 10, 2012 dennysnine, Check to see if you have room to put a diverter valve in the pressure line and run a line to the outside of your coach. Then when you want to drain your fresh water tank you can divert your water out the coach and use the pump to drain the tank quickly.
five Report post Posted March 16, 2012 In our Allegiance we have two handles on the left side of the water compartment, one for hot, one for cold. Open them and they'll drain everything.
