oldnewguy Report post Posted March 27, 2012 We have a 2005 Georgie Boy with a cream colored rug. Well, after all this time and 4 kids, we have spots that will not go away. We would like to remove the rug and replace it with that wood style flooring they sell at Home Depot. So has anyone done it and any problems with the slides. we live in the northeast corner of the U.S. so RV shops are few and far away. ll

desertdeals69 Report post Posted March 27, 2012 If you have a slide you are limited to the type of flooring that you can use. We did a lot of research on types of flooring and found out that you want all wood. Most of the flooring out there is cored with ground up paper center and the actual finish is only paper thick. Read the information on maintenence and if it says no water don't use it. We bought bamboo wood which has a wood core. Has a 50 year waranty and it scrubbable with water. The surface is about a 1/16 inch thick. It is available a Costco.
grantcreek Report post Posted April 28, 2012 We have slides plus we want to redo the entry steps. How did you attach the flooring? Is it floating or glued? Thanks.
desertdeals69 Report post Posted April 28, 2012 It's floating with a cork backing.
erniee Report post Posted May 3, 2012 Add engineered wood and glue it to the floor. Will not move if you have slides
