Phil503 Report post Posted June 1, 2012 The June 2012 edition of Family Motor Coaching magazine, page.34, lists a product for Slideout Support. I seem to remember years ago advice not to use supports because if anything supporting the coach failed the jack would cause the slideout to push up thru the coach or the jack would go into the slideout. In any case severe damage could occur. This seems to also apply to towables. What is the current thinking and should FMCA put a disclaimer on this product? Larry196 Report post Posted June 3, 2012 We have a set of four supports that were given to us when my sister quit RVing. After reading some threads about what could happen, I just carry them, and haven't tried them yet. First in-park garage sale I come across -- out they go. Phil503 Report post Posted June 4, 2012 I wonder if the FMCA magazine editor for the product section gets this communication? How might we communicate with the magazine editor?
