bobbyks Report post Posted June 28, 2012 Before I contact insurance carriers, is there anyone who has storage option coverage when your coach is in storage. A friend told me he inquired and was told in order to qualify you have pull your tag and turn into the Dept. of Safety in which you live. I do not think this will work in La. I like the savings which GMAC claims to offer but I am concern about the long term cost if this is the procedure.
hermanmullins Report post Posted June 28, 2012 Bobby, Never heard of having to pull and turn in you tags. With GMAC all you have to do is call. Tell them you want to put your coach in storage. Your coach must remain in storage for 30 days to get the cost savings. Take it out early and you pay full insurance cost. When you place your coach in storage it removes your Liability and Collision coverage for what ever period over 30 days you have it in storage. This is really good during the winter times when you are not on the road. If you have a lean on the coach you must maintain comprehensive to keep the lean holder covered. Hope this Helps. vtbigdog Report post Posted June 28, 2012 A lot of insurance companies will only remove your collision insurance, leaving your liability insurance intact.
