MikeyO Report post Posted July 4, 2013 Have an '06 Bounder 35E that we just purchased and the dash a/c does not work. Told by our local mechanic that compressor and dryer needed replaced. Later found that Ford did not put this unit together and that we have been in contact with Fleetwood and they have no records to indicate what was installed on this unit. Called the dealer where we purchased this unit and he is having difficulty in tracing down any info on what is on the unit. The only name I can find is Denso on the compressor and Yale on the dryer. No one seems to want to even try to work on the unit for me. Any suggestions? This is our first class A and it is not looking very good. My wife wishes we had stayed with our fifth wheel. hermanmullins Report post Posted July 4, 2013 MikeyO, Welcome to the Forum. Take pictures of the Compressor and Dryer. Go find a auto a/c wholesaler and show them the pictures. Take as many of the numbers you can find. They should be able to find the items you need. These are auto a/c parts and should be able to be matched. Good luck and tell the wife is will get better. desertdeals69 Report post Posted July 4, 2013 Like Herman said it should be easy to find. On the compressor there should be numbers stamped on a plate. Take the compressor and dryer off and go to a NAPA store and they can match it up. Every time we have a similar situation in our shop thats what we do. dickandlois Report post Posted July 4, 2013 Hi Mikey O. and welcome to FMCA You mentioned that your unit was not built on a Ford Chassis if I'm reading between the line properly. So that would mean a Workhorse Chassis with a 8.1 L Vortec Engine with a 5 speed transmission with overdrive. This link should give you some base information and match your floor plan. http://www.fleetwood-motorhomes.com/Bounder/06images/BDR_35E.pdf With the proper information this link might help. http://www.radiatorpros.com/catalog/ac-components?gclid=CNv8nO3ylrgCFTMOOgodKigAIQ Also! You could have a Compressor used on a SPRINTER. Look at this web sight ,last items listed section. http://www.densoheavyduty.com/ac-compressors/medium-heavy-duty Click on downloads. Download the last PDF file that list the Sprinter information and see if any of your numbers or information match.. Rich.
