USARVTours Report post Posted December 8, 2014 So I have started towing a 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade. When I'm not towing the vehicle, with my 2006 Tiffin Phaeton, the coach drives fine. When I attach the Jeep, there is a small pull to the right. So I'm looking for any insight.
desertdeals69 Report post Posted December 8, 2014 Hows the alignment on the Jeep. The steering column unlocked?
huffypuff Report post Posted December 8, 2014 I tow a 2006 Jeep Liberty with no problem. What tow bar setup do you have? I use Roadmaster Falcon all terrain quick release and the Roadmaster brackets on the Jeep.
USARVTours Report post Posted December 8, 2014 Steering is unlocked, I have a Blue-Ox tow bar with Air Force One braking system installed. Jeep probably needs an alignment itself, it pulls to the right as well, which if I think about it correctly, would make the Coach pull left. I'll get the alignment down on the Jeep as see what happens.
desertdeals69 Report post Posted December 9, 2014 How is the towbar? The pivot point on the drawbar must be in the center of the vehicle.
kaypsmith Report post Posted December 10, 2014 DD, I have a friend who moved the receiver to the left, in an effort to see his toad in the rear view mirror. Worked well as long as he stayed in the right lane, when moving to the center or left land, pull was too great to deal with. Only to demo DD's comment.
