aisuman Report post Posted May 16, 2015 I have a ONAN Marquis Gold 5500 generator. I recently tested the gen and found that it would start from the interior control panel but it would not shutdown from the panel. It will start and shutdown from the switch on the generator. I changed the switch on the control panel with the same result. Any suggestions other than going to the dealer which is the last resort due to dealer unreliability. huffypuff Report post Posted May 17, 2015 Outside at the generator I had corrosion at the pins but not the plug on the right side of the generator. It was the connection up on the upper part of the frame about 4 feet back. Check my profile and you will find a picture of the connector with the greenie meanies.
