rlbarkleyii Report post Posted August 13, 2015 I recently bought a ScanGuage D to monitor transmission temperatures, other system indicators, etc. Come to find out that the Allison 2000MH does not provide temperature to diagnostic port, therefore no temperature on ScanGuage! Short of dropping the pan and replacing same with aluminum cast pan with taps for temperature senders, anyone have any experience with installing a temp guage on this tranny? wildebill308 Report post Posted August 13, 2015 I would call Allison and give them your serial number and see what they say. I have done it on a Ford and on a Chevrolet but haven't looked at a 2000MH. Bill
huffypuff Report post Posted August 14, 2015 Install a t-fitting on outlet of transmission cooler line close to the transmission and you will get a good reading from there. You will have to install a sensor and run a wire.
