Bedroom 120 VAC Power Not Coming On

Recommended Posts

We currently have no lights or no power in our bedroom.

We have been unable to locate the fuse box for our bedroom in our 2007 Alpha Seeya fifth wheel. The schematic says it's located in the front wardrobe. We have looked everywhere, cannot locate a front wardrobe as we just have the big closet.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thank you.

Jerri,

Could it be possible that the circuits in the bedroom are in series with the GFCI plugs?  Look to see if there are GFCI plugs, anywhere from two to three or maybe more. You can spot them by the reset button between the sockets.  Press the reset and if you hear it click it was probably tripped.  Hope this helps and that is the problem.

Yes, two most likely suspects are:

1. Tripped GFI outlet

2. Tripped breaker on the inverter/charger IF you have one and those outlets have worked in the past when no shore power and generator off.

Are you plugged into 30 or 50 amp shore power?  Are all other lights and 120v outlets working in the coach?

Your lights are powered by you batteries (hence the need to check fuses).

You electrical outlets are 120v and are either powered by your inverter (if you have one) when you are not connected to shore power or just shore power.  For that you need to check your breaker box, inverter breaker (if you have one) and, if they are GFI (which I would be surprised if they are since they are in your bedroom), reset the GFI.

I am assuming your batteries are fully charged as well, so you need to confirm this to us.
