bchampton Report post Posted September 7, 2016 I will be traveling to Washington St. in a couple of weeks. What is in the San Juan Island area? I will be looking for some Fall Colors as side trips. Bill
0 tbutler Report post Posted September 7, 2016 Here is a link to the Official Travel Site. These islands are a series of small islands in the Salish Sea between Washington State and Vancouver Island, Canada. I can't find information for the ferries that indicates anything other than cars. The Washington State Ferries can accommodate large vehicles but the fares are quite steep. You may end up camping somewhere near the ferry terminal and then taking the toad or even going on foot. This should get you started.
0 desertdeals69 Report post Posted September 7, 2016 We were just there and traveled on foot to several islands. Most everything is within walking distance of the ferry dock.
0 huffypuff Report post Posted September 7, 2016 I live here in Washington and on an island except the one I'm on has a bridge. Going on the ferries by foot is the best as most attraction is nearby.
