Well the new residential Fridge is in. I had it done at RV Services in Ashland, VA. They did a great job. They were able to take the old one out and move the new one in though the passenger side window over the couch. They had to trim the fridge space opening frame just a small bit. They widened the front frame by about an inch and the height by about 3 - 4 inches. I will add a piece of quarter round trip on the right side but overall it's a done deal. Wife loves it. Definitely won't have any problem keeping the beer and soda cold. :) Also had the oil changed, fuel filter changed, and chassis lubricated.

We had the same experience.  Learned the issue with heat absorption is bad.  Ours was swapped out by Texas Hill Country Coach(formerly Whitaker RV Center)in

New Braunfels,TX.   I am known as "Mr.Picky" by many but these guys are great professionals.  Also, made MOM a happy camper.  06 Amer.Eagle 45H

Had ours done two years ago, best decision we have ever made in MH modifications.  Don't forget to velco strap the handles to keep them from opening when you are turning.

For information.  I installed a Haier 10 cu ft residential refrigerator.  I bought it from Lowes and was told it would work in a motorhome.  After 3 months of use the compressor failed.  I called the factory and was told that there is no warranty because it was installed in a rv.  I had called them when I was installing it to see if I could disable the auto defrost so it wouldn't use so much current.  They said no, but they never said that I couldn't use it in an rv.  Fortunately they record all calls to the factory because when I told them to look it up they agreed to cover it under warranty. They are going to credit Lowes for a new one and hopefully I will get my money back.  I have done some research on other brands and have in writing that they will cover their refrigerators in a motorhome.
