  1. Even plugged in or not plugged in, the steps will still work. Turn the steps off. There is a constant drain when the step switch is left in the on position. The trik-l-charger cannot keep up with the step drain over time.

If you disconnect the batteries it doesn't matter.

  2. I don't believe teflon tape is used on that type of fitting. Looks like the typical 3/4" garden hose variety. Should be a rubber gasket inside and over time they get worn out. Replace the gasket and try again, hand tight. If you don't have a gasket, turn the one in there now over and try again.

    Good luck,

  3. We had a 2008 Winnebago Destination with a basement air.  Unfortunately the motorhome was totaled by hurricane Harvey in 2017.

In the 9 years we owned it we never had a bit of problem with the basement air.  I do understand others have had problems.  The basement air is a two stage system.

In excessively high heat (above 90) it struggled somewhat to maintain a comfortable feeling.  One thing I did after that was to line all the walls inside with an outside surface with the aluminum bubble insulation. All closets, cabinets, etc.  That did reduce the inside heat to a more comfortable feeling.

The biggest downside is that if something goes wrong with it the whole system is down and a pain to work on.

  4. I'm Scr#%@d.

I was envisioning sitting in the MH upright.

If it is laying on the right side I'll just have to wait for the fire department or try breaking the windshield or driver's window. Most likely not going to happen.

    Best fire escape ladder

One that works (tongue in cheek)

Assuming you are talking about a motorhome/RV.

Where would you store it. Not in the bay I hope. Close by and then remember where it is and remember to get it.In my case probably right next to the fire extinguisher. (Now where did I put that, hmm?

Flames or smoke, I'm bustin' open the fire escape window, throwing the bed spread over the sill, tossing the wife out, them gently climbing out, hanging down and drop.
Yep, in my octogenarian age I'll probably break something but I hopefully will not be burned,

  6. I'm not familiar with an Alfa but we have many things in common.
What type of slide system do you have. LCI has Kwikee, Power Gear and others.
If it is one of their systems there is a controller that will blink green and red lights. The sequence of those lights will give you an indication of what is wrong.

    Wish I could help more.
