  1. Yes, on the See Ya it is a lock box chassis...the Alfa Gold is on freightliner XC chassis! Last built Alfa was in 2007.  When Fleetwood went bankrupt, so did Alfa...owner of Fleetwood died with no will (I'm going to live forever), that meant Calif put a 55% death tax on the estate or I believe it was in excess of $80, million!

REV Group, a division of Allied, bought the rights of all Fleetwood products, except for the Fleetwood Mobil home division!

  2. Interesting.  At a FMCA Rally in Lebanon, Tenn.  The Gold had just come out and the owners of Alfa (he was 6'7") was there.  His height, was the reason for the height of the slide & coach!  I was still 6' 9" and asked for overhead cabinets....He's reply was, that it would not appeal to tall people. Huh???  He was the Founder of Fleetwood, grandson!  Family was a little strange. Alfa did build a good, solid coach!

If you want to add cabinets, I see no reason why not.  Just make sure it has a solid truss or back board and head board to screw into!  Most overhead and other cabinets are modular, just like the furniture!

  3. This post is 4 years old since I replied last.  Had you started a New Post, more folks will see it.

Now, interesting thing about putting your coach info under your signature, if you get another coach and list it, it will show up on all posts you answered, all the way back to when you joined!  At the time of this post, I had a 2010 American Tradition 45Y!
