Braking System For Cadillac SRX-- What Did You Use?
CarlAda replied to RHernandez's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Not towing a SRX, but I am towing an 08 CTS. I'm using an SMI Stay-in-Play Duo and it's performed well. The installation is hidden and out of the way and requires no set up (other than initial installation) for towing. It's tow and go and is truly a no hassle unit. I'm towing behind a diesel Super-C rig. You may be interested in the SMI Air Force One if your rig has air brakes. -
I appreciate Herman's recommendation. Made me chuckle. There are many different things that can improve the ride of any chassis. First and foremost is the identification of what needs improvement. Jittery could be anything from simply out of balance tires to a defective component. I recommend that you visit Henderson's web page and read through their descriptions of symptoms, causes, and remedies. After you know what's bugging you about your ride, you can ask for more specific input from others. Personally, I visited Henderson's and was able to work with them. I've completed a few upgrades and have experienced much improvement in my 2008 Kodiak chassis SuperC coach.

You might contact some dealers near you. They often have drivers that hire out.

Non-slip matting used in cabinets works well.

My unit has an external cooler and I travel that road frequently. Never see an issue. I don't know that much about trannies so I can't advise as to what may be the issue.

Problem is, now that I've aged gracefully, I need the facilities more than she does! To the OP, I've never owned a 5th wheeler, but I have had travel trailers. For me, the motor home offers significant advantages ... but I've seen some darn nice 5ers out there!

With my Roadmaster Falcon 2 All Terrain, I simply pull forward slowly and turn gently left then right and all is well. Sometimes, I will push the toad away, but usually I don't bother with it.
