  1. There is a flip side to everything. Any sales adds would have to be reviewed by someone to make sure they are not a scam, human trafficking, prostitution etc. That would have a cost associated with it and with any business the profit would have to match or exceed the revenue collected from such ads. That involves lawyers to draft contracts and such so the business isn’t liable for someone that bought something or endured expenses traveling to look at something that had..less than honest photos. Think about how many times you hear fake ads where someone showed up and got robbed. Who’s responsible now (no need to answer that, just think about it).
    It’s a slippery slope folks.

  2. The biggest concern I have experienced with a gas coach is the rear axle walking side to side. 2" of movement at the rear axle will make the dog's tail wag and will cause you to constantly compensate.

I have installed several of these that made a huge improvement. I am sure there are other companies that make these, I always bought from them because I like their attention to detail and overall quality.

This will not make it ride smoother, but it will help keep in planted in the lane when large vehicles pass you. I can say from experience, after a days driving with and without its extremely helpful!

A beefed up set of sway bars will help the side to side sway also. It depends on how much you want to spend vs how much wallowing you can tolerate.

  3. Here is what I did with ours. I bought the mount at Target. I went with a much higher weight rating than the TV actually weighed to help with bouncing. There are rubber feet under the sound bar to help stop it from any bouncing that might occur. Our cabinet is real cherry, not particle board so mounting the bracket with nuts and bolts through the windshield side wasn't an issue.

Apparently, it is operated by a switch (it's by the entrance to the RV) that energizes a self latching relay. I have seen this drop out a few times and I am thinking that the relay (or worse the control circuit) is on its way out.

Those solenoids are notorious for problems. When ours is flipped I loose AC/Heat pumps also. They come back after the EMS system deems voltage is adequate and stable automatically.

I believe the OP is asking about adding cabinets to his slide on the inside of his coach

That's what I thought at first, when I looked up a few Alfa models they all had cabinets throughout the interior. Guess we need some more detail.. You are absolutely correct, structural  integrity of the slide out would be a huge concern. Some manufactures make them lightweight with flimsy wood while others build them out of welded steel box tubing and some are pop riveted aluminum channel.

For those that enjoy great wine and live / snowbird somewhere near Texas, this morning I received a notification that the Texas Hill Country Wineries will host their annual "Wine Lovers Celebration" in February this year (Covid cancelled the event last year).    This presumes that Covid doesn't mess up the event again!   A "wine trail" event for a very reasonable price allows wine tastings at up to four wineries per day during the month of February in conjunction with Valentine's Day.  Wine tastings are often conducted in out door pavillions/patio/picnic areas at each winery so "Covid Safety" should not be a concern.

The Wine Lovers Celebration would be great experience to help usher in a hopefully much better 2021 --> Wine Lovers Celebration - Texas Hill Country Wineries (texaswinetrail.com)

There are several nice RV parks/resorts in the Hill Country including Buckhorn Lake RV Resort and Old River RV Resort near Kerrville, Sunset Point RV Park near Marble Falls, The Vineyards near Fredericksburg and Peachtree Country RV Park near Stonewall to name a few that are all convenient to the Hill Country Wineries.

Someday! That sounds like a fun experience.

  7. Not sure what chassis ALFA utilizes. On the Freightliner the top of the fuel tank is buried between the frame rails just below the interior floor deck, you must drop it for access. Most of the Roadmaster lineup, the top of the tank is accessible from the basement, easily. Spartan, couldn't tell you and from memory each chassis model is slightly different.

    Pull thru sites are up to 45 feet long....I'm 47' 4" + tow bar = 50'....Call, I don't fit.🤬

Interesting, We wouldn't fit either with the Jeep .  We are 65.5' total combination length. That certainly warrants a phone call for some clarity.

I have had MANY "Pull through sites" where the jeep had to be split and parked sideways behind or in front.

We drove to Chico, CA and had a Transfer Flow auxiliary tank installed at their facility.  They did an absolutely exceptional job!  They ship to multiple installation companies throughout the US, though.

We have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500 with a "canister-type" locking slide cover.  The Transfer Flow 37 gallon tank fits PERFECTLY and works exceptionally well.  It gives us 73 gallons of fuel capacity.  Could not be happier !!

Welcome to the FMCA Forums! Merry Christmas and happy holidays

Just be careful, Rodents love those heated basements.

Bill, with your high end coach I'll wager that your basement is like mine and is heated.

The Aqua Hot Guru, Rudy Legett, said to run the Aqua Hot every 4 to 6 weeks and you only have to run it for one cycle.  Turn it on, let it build and when it shuts off you can turn it off.  That is the DIESEL side of it. It is to keep the nozzle from coagulating.

The best way to check the coolant is with a refractometer (about $20 on Amazon), not strips. It is the recommended method in the Aqua Hot Manual

Only use propylene glycol as the antifreez. Best to buy it directly from Aqua-Hot.

Blah blah blah - manual is good read.

p.s, since you are running the Aqua Hot to satisfy the requirements, turn the thermostat to a temperature that will activate the heat exchangers.  This exercises those, at the register, and it exercises the pumps in the Aqua Hot. Only need to do it for a 1 minute or so.

Keep in mind not all Aquahots are created equal. Mine utilizes Ethylene glycol (traditional automotive antifreeze).
