  1. Thanks. We are from Fort Worth, TX too, but currently in Tennessee. 2001 Fleetwood Discovery 37'330 CAT HP, Freightliner XC
  2. Has anyone had a bad sensor on an MH tire? Does anyone know when the computer to check the ABS sensors indicates a bad ABS sensor on side #2. Which side is #2? Is that the driver side or passenger side of the MH?

  4. The volt reading plugged into shore power is always in the 14.19 volt range. Once I unplug from shore power it drops to 12.44 after 30 min. Is this a battery issue?
  5. I'm concerned about the HOUSE batteries when plugged into shore power. Shore power should be keeping the house batteries charged/topped off. I know 14.19 volts is a float charge and when unplugged from shore power the volts immediately drop to 12.85 volts which shows the batteries have a charge but, what concerns me is the volts on the house batteries drops again 30 minutes later to 12.44 volts which is not good. Is this normal?
  6. Thank you Thank you Kay. This is very helpful!
  7. Checked after driving with the engine idling.
  8. Ok. Does the 12 volt accessories affect the chassis batteries? I thought the 12 volt accessories only affected the house batteries.
  9. Ok, here is volt readings for the house batteries. Plugged into shore power = 14.19 volts Unplugged from shore power checked voltage immediately =12.85 volts Waited 30 minutes still unplugged from shore power and checked voltage again = 12.44 volts Unplugged from shore power and Generator turned on/running for 5 min = 14.42 volts Generator running for 30 min then turned the generator off and checked voltage immediately = 13.55 volts Waited 30 min with generator still turned off (not plugged into shore power) = 12.73 volts What do you think?
  10. Alternator update: They replaced a wire that goes to the alternator. We checked the chassis batteries with our voltmeter with the coach at idle with nothing on (generator off), but the headlights turned on. The chassis battery reading was 13.01 volts. Next, we drove the MH on the freeway 20 miles with nothing on (generator off), but headlights turned on. We rechecked the chassis batteries and the reading was 13.42 volts. The volt gauge on the driver's dash stayed just to the right side of the center line. Is this an indication that something is still not working correctly to charge the chassis batteries? My understanding is the chassis batteries should read between 13.86 - 14.2 volts.
  11. Do the following volt readings on the HOUSE batteries indicate an issue? We have a new inverter/charger. House Batteries Plugged into shore power = 14.40 volts Unplugged from shore power = 12.60 volts Unplugged from shore power and Generator turned ON = 14.51 volts
  12. No, they haven't got to us yet.
  13. Update: I know this is long overdue. Sorry for the delay. We made it safely on the battery chargers on the chassis and house batteries from Raleigh, NC to TN. The standalone chargers worked out fine. We met up with Kay in Sevierville TN when he was there at Pigeon Forge. Kay was extremely helpful. We had the alternator replaced and the inverter/charger replaced at Buddy Greggs in Knoxville, TN. While we were there we got a seal leak on the right rear tire and had to have a complete brake job done on both rear tires and a jack replaced. When it rains it pours. We currently have an issue with the new alternator so we are back and Buddy Greggs again. Hopefully, they will take a look at it tomorrow.
  14. That is the route I was looking at earlier. We are leaving early. Thanks.
  15. Raleigh, NC at the NC State Fairgrounds RV park. About 3 hours from the coast.
  16. I have to have an external battery charger on the house batteries too because the voltage drops on those also and I have to run the generator so I can use the outlet to plug in the external battery charger. I will put another charger on the chassis.

  18. This is exactly what I need to do. BUT the chassis batteries volts are dropping when the engine is on, generator on and external battery charger on house batteries.
  19. I do not know the voltage. The electrician checked it and said it was ok.
  20. Voltage is dropping when engine is running. When engine is off and plugged into shore power the voltage is 13.18 Just checked the voltage on the chassis batteries again after a couple of hours of being plugged into shore power now it's 12.61 volts.
  21. Can I drive the MH if I put an external battery charger on the chassis batteries?
  22. What do I do to get the MH drivable? We are in the path of hurricane Florence. I am very low on propane and gasoline. Power outages are expected when the hurricane hits.
  23. Yes, alternator is putting out voltage. Where is the isolator located?
  24. External charger (10 amps) is on the house batteries. I did not check the voltage on the house batteries with the external charger on. No external charger on the chassis batteries. Between 10-15 minutes between voltage drops on the chassis batteries.
