  1. Thanks. Once the MH is repaired do I replace the house batteries since the voltage dropped deeply? Thoughts?
  2. ok, I asked because in our coach the chassis and house batteries are connected together.
  3. Thank you. Question: Are the chassis batteries a separate issue regardless if the inverter/charger is working or not working? I'm asking because the house batteries are connected to the chassis batteries.
  4. Need help. I charged the house and chassis batteries with the standalone battery chargers. I unplugged from shore power. I started the engine and checked the voltage on house and chassis batteries. The voltage is dropping on both house and chassis batteries. I then turned on the generator and checked the voltage on house and chassis batteries. The voltage is dropping on both house and chassis batteries. Does this have anything to do with the power I lost the GFI outlet and the outlets that are on that line? Thanks.
  5. Can I place another stand alone battery charger on the other 2 house batteries or on the chassis batteries?
  6. Thanks, the slide out finally went out.
  7. Ross you have the same MH. Where is the manual override to get the slide out in the bedroom? The slide is in and cannot get it out. I know where the one is in the living room. Looked in the manual...it states to look in the slideout systems Operations Manual in the owner's Information Package, but I did receive that manual when I got the MH. It is not in the MH folder packet that came with the MH.
  8. Ok will post update later.
  9. Do I stay plugged in to shore power with the inverter out?
  10. Fridge is also out when plugged into shore power now.
  11. There are no lights on the inverter when plugged into shore power.
  12. Even if the inverter is completely out. There are no lights on the inverter when plugged into shore power.
  13. The generator will not turn on at all. It was running that it died.
  14. Need help. Started the coach back up to get ready to drive it. Turned the generator on and inventer went completely out. Engine is running but cannot work the slideouts. Checked the chassis batteries (chassis batteries is 11.9 volts) and the voltage is going down (reversing) with the engine running. House batteries are 8.43 volts (2 batteries together in series)
  15. Update: House batteries are now dead. I started the coach ran the generator and the batteries are not charging. No repair shop can see my MH till end of Oct/Nov. The mobile RV repair are also booked out for a month or longer and a few don't work on the electrical. There is a RV repair shop 5 hours away that can get me in next Thursday. I'm assuming the charger portion of the inverter is not working due to whatever went out. Any ideas why the house batteries are dead and won't charge?
  16. Thanks, trying to find a place that can look at it or mobile unit to come to me. Everyone is booked out. I have a few more calls tomorrow to make.
  17. lol... I'm stressed and not knowledgeable with electrical. The panel with all the circuit breakers is located under the fridge.
  18. Thanks. Is it ok to use the other outlets that are working?
  19. Under the bed there is a gray small box. I took the cover off but it has just has wires in the box and the screws I see are just holding the box down. The wires are taped.
  20. lenp, I have a xantrex freedom 458 series combi inverter charger.
  21. Thanks to everyone that responded. I appreciate your time and help. I've tried the suggestions but cannot get it to work. I'm going to get a rv repair person to look at it. Any recommendations for RV repair shop or mobile unit in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area? Also, is it safe to drive the MH with this issue? Thanks
  22. Thanks, Ross. I checked all 3.
  23. Here's what lost power. The GFI outlet located on the side of the kitchen counter. The outlet located inside the cabinet above the microwave. The outlet located on the wall dividing the dinning from the bathroom. The outlet located next to the bathroom sink. The light switch located next to the bathroom sink to turn on the vanity lights. The outlet located in the bedroom slide. The outlet located inside the bedroom TV cabinet. The outlet located inside the living room TV cabinet. and the fridge switched over to gas. The only GFI outlets I have is the one located on the side of the kitchen counter that is not working and one in the bedroom wall dividing the bedroom from the bathroom that is working. The outlets in the bins outside are regular outlets with no push buttons but have stickers that say GFI. I guess whoever installed them didn't install them right.
