ignition switch problem 2003 fleet wood revolution
jamestouchstone replied to jamestouchstone's topic in Type A motorhomes
problem is solved, you need to remove the key lock mechanicsm there is a shoulder on the bezel. Thanks for the thoughts' -
After starting engine if you allow the key to return on its own to the run position engine will run for about 6 or 8 revolutions and die, if you release the key slowly usually the engine will operate normally. I can not get the ignition switch assy. out of the dash. I have the tool to remove the screwed bezel from the face of the dash but the switch will not release from the switch bezel. Any suggestions on any of the above. I think this is my 2nd. time to post anything I hope I did it right. Thanks in advance for any help.

My 2003 1200lrim cooling unit died. We were in Yuma AZ. last month. Had the cooling unit replaced with a Norcold unit. I would like to install a small pancake fan inside the fridge to improve cooling. Should I install it on the same side of the cooling fins as the thermister ? T hanks in advance for any advise. I hope this the correct way to ask a question as this is the first time I have used the forum except to view.

We recently up graded our TV to hd and now need to install the SWM Dish by Direct TV. Can I use the existing power supply from the original KVH dome?

Towing A Jetta Sport Wagon
jamestouchstone replied to jamestouchstone's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Don't know what happened to my last reply if you did not get it, I will resend. I tow a 2014 VW sport wagon with 6000 miles I will contact VW and see about adding caster. Thanks for your reply will let you know what happens. -
While towing the sport wagon and crossing a railroad track at approximately 45 mph. the VW steering wheel began oscillating violently and shaking my 40 ft. Revolution motor home. I have a Blue Ox mod.#4775 with about 40,000 miles on it. It has not been serviced in the last 2 years, but appears to not have any excess play. Has anyone had this problem where the tail wags the dog. The shaking or oscillating is very violent and will not stop unless you come to a complete stop, before starting again.

I will give Fleetwood a call as I cannot hear anything running with the key on & heater on. I will investigate under the dash for electric servos. Thanks for the input from all of you.

I guess my question was not clear. I can't determine if the controls are vacuum or electric as nothing works so far as ac/heater /defrost/etc. With just the key on, if engine is running everything seems to work fine, but I would like to know where the pump is, if it has one.

Does anyone know if the 2003 American Revolution with a Cummins ISC 350 has a vacuum pump that operates the ac/heater controls?

I have a 2003 American Coach Revolution with a ISC 350hp 1,050 lb-ft torque, I see advertised the same engine same torque but 380hp. Does anyone have info as to what the difference in the engine might be or is this a programing issue, chip etc.? I thought I would ask everyone before contacting Cummins. I got this info from the FMCA mag. July issue page 54. 1st Kite Flier.
