Went to turn on my frig and noticed it kept jumping to LP even though I was plugged in to shore power. Hmmm. Opened up the side and saw a blown fuse on the circuit board. Easy enough, popped in another Bussman 5 amp and turned it back on. Boom... another fuse. After some Googling it sounded like my AC heating element was bad or had a short. Replaced the element and seems to be working fine now. My question is how often does the AC element go bad or how easy is it for them to get a short and burn up? Just wondering if I should get another one and have it on hand in case...

planking was very thin. About 1/4 inch, so not much impact on making it tighter. You're right though. much thicker I probably would not have done it.

Did a quick upgrade to the RV closet today. Lined the back wall with cedar planks. Cost about $35 for the materials at Home Depot. Smells good, looks good - wife happy... Before After

Our first long trip to Key West was everything we thought it would be. Such a great time we did not want to leave. Looking forward to the next adventure. Mark & Lisa 2011 Gulfstream Caribbean

Hoping somebody out there can point me in the right direction... On a recent trip, we hit some heavy rain - no problem, wipers on and powered through... Near the end of the storm I noticed the wiper alignment was off, way off. When I got home, I popped of the nuts on the wiper arms (pantograph) and sure enough, the teeth on the pivot arms where as smooth as a baby's bottom. Again, not a problem, I removed the pivot arms in about 10 minutes. the problem is trying to locate replacements. The only number on the arm is 69203. I have included a picture of the removed assembly. Any help appreciated. thanks! Gulfstream Caribbean 35A, Freightliner chassis, Cummins 340, Allison Trans.

Update: Bad EGR valve. $650 for the part + labor to install and re-calibrate. Do EGR valves give out on a regular basis?

thanks for the response manholt, I do have the catalog but there are not code #'s listed. Every time I google the code, the responses are mainly for Detroit Diesel engines. Strange...

We are heading out next week for 500+ miler... I read a lot on RV forums about folks driving for 100's / 1000's of miles with a warning indicator light on?? I guess it depends on the indicator, but seems risky to me - especially if you are not sure what code(s) are being thrown. Just want to be safe and not blow up the coach..

Thanks Bill, Yeah to restart a couple of times - also tried to drive it after I let it sit and warm up for about 10 minutes. Light still was on. Not hard to warn up in FL in the summer.. :-)

Started out on a weekend trip only to get about 1/2 from our house and the check engine warning light came on. Circled back home to investigate before hitting the interstate. The engine diagnostics was throwing a single code - SPN 2791 FMI 13 OC 42. After a bit of googling, it appears to be an EGR calibration alert? Called the dealer I bought the coach from and they said it was just an emission alert, ok to drive it. That didn't feel right, so I made an appointment with a local freightliner / cummins shop. Is the dealer correct? Thanks! 2011 Gulfstream Caribbean 35A, Freightliner chassis, Cummins 360HP, Allison trans.
