  1. Hello Everyone, I currently have Verizon cell service and have had a MiFi hotspot for about a year. The issue I have is that the hotspot has been VERY slow. Driving me nuts. Sometimes will not connect to website I need to use (times out). I am working from the road and need a good internet connection so my question is, has anyone ran into this previously? Maybe there is some sort of booster available to get a stronger signal? My coach has Dish Satellite installed, the kind that allows me to use it when parked and when traveling but I have never set it up. Is there a faster speed internet that might be available through them that I am not aware of? If anybody has any thoughts or experience with this issue, I would appreciate it! Thanks, Ron
  2. An update to 2018 Jeep Cherokee wiring harness and flat tow. We finally got the harness installed. Apparently it was the 2017 harness but fit perfectly in 2018 model. We then had a BlueOx installed. Yesterday we got the toad hooked up and towed it home from Tampa area. All went better than I had thought! My wife was thrilled to finally be able to ride in the coach and not follow in the Jeep. With fingers crossed, we hope to have many fun and safe trips to follow!!! Oh BTW, they ran a charging wire for the battery, so I don’t have to lift the hood and install a 10amp fuse and it was not that hard to get the Jeep transmission into neutral for towing. There were a few steps, but like anything, it will be a snap once it is done a few times....So far, very pleased!
  3. Apparently the wiring harness we have been waiting on is now at local dealer. Have appointment Monday morning the 2nd for install. Hopefully death wobble has been addressed etc., etc. Have been waiting since Oct of ‘17 and want to hit the road for a long trip in May. Fingers crossed...
  4. Hi we are new to the RVworld. Does anyone have a suggestion as to a good hose to use from our holding tanks? I went down to Walmart and am now on my second hose because of leaking. Not sure if I am not putting it away properly or not buying the strongest hose available? Any thoughts from the veteran RV people? Thanks, Ron
  5. Yes I have been told by my local place that it should be available March 19, give or take...
  6. Sounds great, thanks Kay!
  7. Actually no I didn’t. I will check that out. And you are right, Racoon Mountain much better!
  8. Kay thank you! Just a question. Did you guys stay in the premier drive through sites? If so, did you find you had enough outdoor room from your neighbor? I was reading a few reviews and it sounds really nice. A few folks were complaining that the spots were very tight, right on top of each other. Did you guys find that to be true? Location looks great also. Also it looks like this used to be called Chattanooga RV Park so it must have been bought by someone and renamed Raccoon Mountain....
  9. Thanks, I was wondering about Holiday Park. It seemed to be in a good location for what we had in mind. The different falls/hikes up in that area look awesome...
  10. Well we are hoping to leave end of April if that darn wiring harness for the Jeep Cherokee comes in. We still have to get a way to tow our vehicle and that has not been going very well...
  11. Thanks for the links Bill, very helpful. I saw your other post about places in Maine. My lord, you guys have been all over the place!!
  12. Hello everyone, We would like to explore the Ruby Falls area this summer. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice campground in the Chattanooga area. We are in 37’ class A and would like full hook ups. We have stayed in the NE Georgia Blue Ridge area in our tag-along but never in this western section... Thanks in advance.....
  13. Oh man I hope not. We have our first big trip coming up. The local Jeep dealer had said that if the harness for the 2018 is still not out, they would put the harness for the 2017 (which is currently backordered but available, he said) on our 2018 Trailhawk. I think the BlueOx people had said they had a client in Indiana who did that and it worked fine (Base plate compatible etc) I would hate to postpone trip or have my wife follow me up in the Jeep. Does it sound like I might be getting fed a fairytale?
  14. Hi Grand. Is this kit to activate EPS from Mopar separate from the wiring harness from Mopar due to be released soon for 2018 Trailhawk (we hope)...
  15. I get it now. They have an EZ pass lane for the Sunshine Skyway bridge going into St. Pete. I didnt realize they were nationwide. Thought it was just a state thing. Great idea....thx...
  16. Right? Then you realize you don’t have the cash in your wallet. Then the horns start.... Goes downhill from there I think!
  17. Hey Bill, yea just made up that 75 cent thing. I was really referring to tolls in general. Am brand new to this world and have not gone through a toll booth yet. I guess I am one of these guys that worries about crap before it happens! Thanks for the info!
  18. Yes obedb I agree. Doesn’t sound like something a rookie in an RV should be attempting!
  19. Ah OK, thanks manholt. I didn’t think about that but disconnecting negative battery cable wouldn’t be that much of a big deal...
