  1. Others on forum who have reported same problem, have found problem to be in generator control boards. I would start by performing visual inspection of all circuit boards, looking for damaged components or corroded/loose connections.  The Onan generators only offer limited self diagnostics.

  2. Welcome, nice looking coach.

I have the same coach, only mine is 2 years older.  Mine has served me well, had 29K miles on it when I purchased in 2011, now just rolled over 65K miles,  No major issues, just normal maintenance items.  I did change out the refrigerator and replaced with residential one.

Interested in known what happened to the roof that required you to replace.  The roof on mine looks great and shows no sign of wear or tear.  I have always stored coach under cover when not in use.

    Happy Travels,

  3. We read so many cases where consumers are unhappy with services  and purchases.

Though you might want to hear of my recent experience where the manufacturer and the vendor went beyond the call of duty to correct a simple mistake.   I had ordered a car side quick disconnect kit for my Roadmaster tow bar from etrailer.com,  the order was filled promptly and delivered as schedule, however the hardware  was missing from the kit.  I notified etrailer.com on Saturday morning via email that the hardware was missing, I immediately received a response apologizing for their mistake and they provided me lists of parts that should have been included.  I responded by identifying the components that were missing and within a few minutes etrailer.com responded and informed  me that the hardware will be shipped within 12-24 hours.

On Monday morning I receives a phone from etrailer.com informing that they had been in contact with Roadmaster and that Roadmaster was shipping the missing hardware directly to me and that I would receive it on Tuesday.  Sure enough it was delivered before noon today,

Not sure if any of you have checked etrailer.com web site lately, they have added many RV accessories to their product line, including RV furniture and appliances at very competitive prices.

Thanks again for such great service.

  4. When I installed the residential refrigerator I powered with the existing modified sine way inverter.  My original inverter is a 2000 watt.

I wouldn't install a second inverter unless you current one is undersize or doesn't have the proper waveform for you new refrigeration.

It that the case I would upgrade you inverter to meet your needs.

  5. As you can see I lost  my user name, picture and profile.  This happened when I contact the tech group at FMCA to change my email address.  Now I need to find out how to change my user name, anyone have a clue?

  6. Finally found time to troubleshoot the problem with the tachometer.  I had looked at the electrical drawing and with the information that **** provided I determined that the tach signal came directly from the engine ECM and since there was no other issue with the engine running or with transmission shifting I assumed that the ECM RPM signal must be normal and the problem must be the instrument.  I checked with HR and they no longer had the instrument cluster which included the tack, oil pressure gauge and volt meter.  Further checking with Beebe Instrument and they had been sold to another co and they were unable to support the Beebe line of instruments.

I found a used instrument cluster for $65 and it arrived today and I installed it, GUESS WHAT?  The tachometer still didn't work.  I started chasing the tach signal wire from the tack end didn't have to go very far to find the problem,  In the cluster of wiring under the dash there was a single conductor plug that has come disconnected.  Plugged it in and all is good.

The moral of the story is to look for the simple things and you can save a few bucks.
