2007 Fleetwood Southwind AC recharge

Recommended Posts

JG, Welcome to the Forum. Are we Talking about the Roof air conditioning unit or the dash air?

Dash air does have a charging port, Most all Roof Top A/Cs do not.

Does anyone know where the port is for recharging a 2007 Fleetwood Southwind with a Ford Triton V10 engine?

Thanks

Welcome to the Forum.

The high pressure port is larger then the Low pressure . The plumbing changes with model and Year many times. The Low pressure  is after the drier and before the evaporator and the high pressure side is located at the condenser input.

I will say this ! If you are not familiar with the system - one can get in over there head quickly. Seek good information before jumping in to the project. Checking the system charge is not complicated, but needs to be done correctly. Other repairs and test require the proper equipment.

Rich.

When re-charging the A/C system for the dash air, the low pressure line has the charging port, the high pressure side port is a different thread so you don't connect incorrectly. If the line is cold to touch that is the correct line for adding refrigerant/low pressure side. (A/C system must be running on max. for at least 5 minutes prior to/and during re-charging)

Yes, the low side is on top of the Receiver Dryer, the high side is about 12" from the A/C condenser (grill area) typically on the passenger side of the grill.
