kaypsmith Report post Posted July 18, 2019 Try giving these people a call, http://centralfloridafleetservice.com/ Detroit series 60 is a very popular engine and many truckers use them, I rely on W.W. Williams, but did not find one in your area.
obedb Report post Posted July 18, 2019 There is a dealer in Ocala. That is central Florida at least to me. Check the web There are at least 8 to 10 dealers in Florida. Your problems with the turbo and waste gate are easily fixable on the Series 60. Had one in my last big rig before retirement. Bought it used and the first repair was what you described. I think most Detroit Diesel shops in Florida are owned by a big company (Stevenson maybe). For a replacement including labor , maybe 3 thousand or so. Possibly more but a malfunctioning turbo can cause some real $ problems if you try to get by on your way elsewhere
jndroark Report post Posted July 18, 2019 If you go to the Detroit Diesel website and search their locations it will show all DD service locations in the area. It also shows the types of service they can provide.
