3126b cat low power, vibration and excessive blow by

Recommended Posts

On a recent 3000 mile trip with my cat 3126b in a winnebago ultimate advantage I experienced low power and vibration along with lots of blow by on my tow car. I found another forum that helped me with some troubleshooting. I found that when I unplug the injection actuation pressure sensor the engine still runs. If I understand correctly this means it is bad? Would this align with the issues I was experiencing? Any help would be great. Thank you!

Dave Atherton is a retired Caterpillar mechanic and is the best source of info on your engine. FAR better than crowd-sourced advice.

I will second that statement. I would list him as the most knowledgeable Cat mecanic I know. He is definitely the most helpful in sharing his knowledge.

I need some help with a CAT 350 C7. This not the place obviously. What part of the FMCA website would I find the CAT gurus?  Thanks

As posted above, the Diesel RV Club is an FMCA Chapter.  Dave Atherton, a retired Caterpillar tech is to GO TO man:
