I-75 North to I-10 West I-10 West to Lafayette, Louisiana and pick up I-49 North I-49 North to Shreveport, Louisiana and pickup I-20 East I-20 East to Lindale, Texas and pick up US 69 North US 69 North to Bells Texas and pick up US 82 West US 82 West to Gainesville, Texas and pick up I-35 North. I-35 North to Wichita, Kansas (I-35 in Kansas is a Toll Road for 45 Miles) to Exit 45 where you pick up I-135 North I-135 North to just past Salina, Kansas where I-135 turns into US 81 North US 81 North to York Nebraska and pick up I-80 West. I-80 West all the way past Cheyenne, Wyoming to Rock Springs, Wyoming to US 191 North US 191 North to Jackson, Wyoming. From Jackson continue on US 191 to the South Entrance to Yellowstone National Park This seems like a long way but the only area where you will run into any mountains is between Cheyenne and Rock Spring. However they are not steep but gradual climbs and you don't go through any large cities with the exception of Oklahoma City but it is all Interstate and not bad traffic. Along the way you will see lots of beautiful country, bayous, timber and wide open spaces. There will be New Orleans, Shreveport and the Municipal Auditorium where Elvis performed. There is the Winstar Casino, just as you get into Oklahoma and the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. The Aircraft plant in Wichita Kansas. Cheyenne where they hold Cheyenne Frontier Days and Jackson (Jackson Hole), Wyoming and the Antler arches on the square. Let us know if you need and more help. We will break out the Highlighter in the morning and start marking up the map (we like paper maps). It sounds like you have made this trip a few times before because it doesn't sound like your first rodeo. Thank you for all of the stops that you have also advised. Our work in the past, you'll find few on this Forum that don't know the Lower 48, Canada, Alaska & Hawaii. As you said, "Not our first Rodeo!" In Shreveport There is Diamond Jack Casino with a nice RV Park for $20.00/nite and you may get it for free if you get a players card. In Tyler, TX close to where you pick up Hwy 69 off I-20 there is a nice park on 69 south about 3 miles "Tyler Oaks" Just as you get into Oklahoma on I-35 there is the WinStar Casino with a really nice RV Park and 1 or 2 nights free if you get a players card. On up North of Wichita, KS in McPherson there is a nice park the "McPherson RV Ranch & Horse Motel". In Kearney, NE there is the Kearney RV Park. In Sidney Nebraska there is a Cabela's that has an RV Park with full hookups for (last I heard) $10.00 on a first come basis. They also have a free dry camping area. In Cheyenne Wyoming there is a nice KOA right on I-80 plus Warren Air Force has a RV Famcamp. In Rock Spring there is a nice (all gravel) KOA park. Then it north to Yellowstone. Have a ball. A bit of information about Military Bases and Famcamps: As of the first of the year, 2020, bases and Famcamp are open to all Retires, Active, DoD employees and Disabled veterans. In the past a vet had to be 100% disabled but the change has added any veteran with a "SERVICE CONNECTED" on their VA ID card are permitted to go on Base and use Famcamps.
